We’re Hiring: March of the Living (MOL) Canada, Manager

JFC-UIA is a dynamic national organization that brings together the Canadian Jewish Federations and communities to maximize our commitment to Israel and our collective impact on the local, national and global Jewish agenda. Our Canada Israel Experience department runs national experiential programs for youth, young adults and adults across the country on behalf Canadian Jewish Federations and communities.

The March of the Living is a journey to Poland and Israel to learn about the Jewish community that once flourished in Europe, the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the establishment and survival of the State of Israel.

Job Description:

Reporting to the National Director for Canada Israel Experience and working with the National Director of the March of the Living Canada, the March of the Living (MOL) Canada, Manager is a full time, one-year contract position. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills in organization, education and program development and be passionate about Israel and Holocaust education. The position will be responsible for the Adult and Young Adult MOL programs, chaperone training and serving as a resource and aid for all MOL delegations and staff.

In addition to regular working hours, the ideal candidate will also be committed to devoting additional time on evenings and weekends to forging relationships with participants to enhance the MOL experience.


  • Coordinating and managing program registration and logistics including flight lists, itineraries, rooming, etc.
  • Managing various stakeholders and shepherding participants through the MOL process and journey
  • Developing and executing educational programs, seminars and curricula in collaboration with CIE staff, educators and other organizations
  • Marketing for all national and adult programs online and in print (coordinating marketing for all delegations, including online presence and CJN ads, etc.)
  • Liaising with local and international partners and volunteers
  • Planning and facilitating informational gatherings, educational sessions and pre and post trip activities and reunions
  • Working with other departments of JFC-UIA on broader initiatives and goals
  • Additional tasks maybe be assigned


  • Ability to develop and facilitate group programs
  • Extremely strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrated involvement in the Jewish community
  • Demonstrated involvement in Holocaust awareness/education initiatives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours and evening/weekend availability
  • Ability to work with volunteer chairs in Toronto and nationally, as well as with donors
  • Some travel required
