“The mission of PROJECT6MILLION is to honor the six million Jewish men, women, and children murdered during the Holocaust and activate six million people striving toward a world without intolerance.

We will inspire an international movement of at least six million people personally committed to standing up locally and globally against injustice. We will then create a powerful interactive physical memorial that depicts both the scale of six million lives cut short and the six million commitments toward tolerance."

Selected Quotes from Past Participants

Celebrating Yom HaZikaron on a kibbutz with real Israelis, and then turning that in to a celebration of Yom Ha’atsmaut. Living in the Diaspora, I would commemorate those holidays as I would commemorate Remembrance Day in Canada. But having gone through Poland, and seeing with my own eyes that horrors that the Jewish people have endured, made this Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut much more significant for me. I believe that my experience in Poland really tied up my connection to the State of Israel. The holocaust didn’t CAUSE the creation of Israel, but it sure shows just how important a State for the Jewish people is.
